Electronics Repair Technician
Description:
Job SummaryElectronics Repair Technician will be responsible to diagnose and repair any failures on electronic boards (PCBs) and sub-assemblies.
Electronics Repair Technician must have working knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of production sub-assemblies down to electronic component level.
In addition, this position requires proficiency in reading basic schematics, the ability to use various test equipment such as digital multi-meter, power supplies and calipers.
The Electronic Repair Technician will work independently as well as closely with Test Engineering Team, and support Production Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair circuit boards and other electronics sub-assemblies.
Rework assemblies to replace or repair components using soldering tools.
Perform failure analysis of products returned under the RMA process.
Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and Engineering change orders/notice.
Enter and analyze the repair finding into information data collections systems.
Operate test and measurement equipment.
Execute test procedures and failure analysis reports.
Work independently as well as within a team.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications 2-year degree in electronics, manufacturing technology, or equivalent education and/or industry experience 1
years of electronic technician experience Soldering experience (IPC certification preferred) Ability to use standard measurement and test equipment such as:
digital multimeters, power supplies, and power sources.
Knowledge and application of schematic diagrams Knowledge of electronic circuit boards, processors, computer hardware and software, including applications.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and organizational skills Working knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office.
Ability to debug hard chronic failures.
Ability to debug aging PCBs Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, from 7:
00 a.
m.
to 4:
00 p.
m.
It may be necessary to work more than 40 hours per week at times to produce the required results.
