About Eyeland Vision

Established in 2001, Eyeland Vision provides full-service optometry to families and residents in El Paso County of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses. The vision clinic specializes in the management and treatment of ocular diseases, such as dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and surgical co-management. The practice is also well-known for its specialty contact services, including custom scleral lenses and ortho-k fittings. Conveniently located minutes from US-54 and just a short drive from Franklin Mountains State Park, the practice is situated in a free-standing modern building. To support the practice s continued growth, Eyeland Vision is looking to add an additional provider to its cross-trained staff of 12 employees.

Eyeland Vision uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including corneal tomography, digital retina imaging, optical coherence tomography and visual field testing. Online appointment scheduling and office communications are offered via text messaging. Patients can enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of eyewear from the optical boutique plus, for patients who want to save time on selecting eyewear, they can virtually try-on designer frames through Eyeland Vision s website.

About the opening

Eyeland Vision is seeking a full-time Associate Optometrist who is passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. In this role, you will provide in-depth eye exams and follow-ups, order diagnostic testing, interpret test results, recommend eyewear, and educate patients about their ocular health. The current office hours are 8:
30 a.m. to 5:
00 p.m. Monday through Friday the Associate Optometrist will work up to 40 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity to provide care for a wide variety of patients and conditions, while working with other experts in a supportive environment.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop his/her skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
