Reporting Analyst
Reporting analysts develop systems and standards for business reports. They must be experts in data management and software engineering and be able to coordinate effectively with the needs of multiple departments.
Initial Responsibilities
Work with internal customers to determine reporting needs.
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
Identify system improvements by studying current practices; designing modifications.
Implement a strong report development process, which
Collects, analyzes and documents clear concise, detailed business requirements
Ensures that technical requirements and design meet and support the business needs
Works closely with Quality Assurance team for testing strategy and plans
Plans, coordinates and executes User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that the delivered solution meets the business needs
Includes business readiness plans, including communication and training
Develop NetSuite Custom Reports and understanding the NetSuite Standard Data Model and TechSoup Global s Custom Attributes and Objects, particularly for our NetSuite Finance and CRM environments.
Develop NetSuite-based Key Performance Indicator reporting.
Design, schedule, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of regular, recurring NetSuite reports.
Develop performance reports using Excel and SQL.
Developing Responsibilities
Work with all levels of business users to evolve and advance the effectiveness of analysis and reporting.
Understand TechSoup Global s JSON data structure and MongoDB data storage system.
Work closely with the engineering team to design JavaScript server-side transforms for JSON data to be used as reporting models.
Develop JasperSoft based Key Performance Indicator dashboards.
Design, schedule, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of regular, recurring JasperSoft reports.
Offer subject matter expertise and training for JasperSoft power users.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
