Job Description:
The candidate will assist in resolution of complex hardware and software issues required to manage and maintain DPW-E GIS and CAD file servers and manage the DPW-E Storage Area Network (SAN). The candidate will provide technical support to end users and work on database applications for program managers. The candidate will track and resolve issues with user's access restrictions and support management of user access to
CADD and GIS database systems, web servers and data shares within DPW-E network. The candidate will respond to user help calls related to this PWS through the DPW-E Help Desk.
The contractor will be able to:
Support system administration tasks on databases, applications, and file servers.
Assist in resolution of complex hardware and software issues required to manage and maintain GIS and CAD servers, file servers, and the Storage Area Network (SAN)
Provide technical support to end users
Work on database applications for program managers
Track and resolve issues with users access restrictions and support management of user access to CADD and GIS database systems, web servers, and data shares
Respond to user Help Desk calls
In the area of record management the contractor will be able to:
Track all information required so it is secure, organized, and readily available
Evaluate new software and hardware options for performance and compatibility with existing systems
Document and coordinate the deployment of any new GIS/CADD software
Keep detailed records of all system configurations and setups for any new hardware, software, or changes to existing systems
In the area of security the contractor will be able to:
Assist with suspenses and data calls as required for maintaining the operational status of network files, application, and database servers
Install new security updates and track and document IAVA resolution on database and application servers
In the area of servers, workstations, and other computer equipment management the contractor will be able to:
Assist with the configuration, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Assist with the installation of software, patches, updates, and performance of general maintenance
Troubleshoot, track and resolve issues with backup systems, backup tasks, and lost or corrupted files
Document all system modifications, software and hardware installations, and updates
Track and resolve issues with virtual servers running CADD/GIS applications and other related applications including but not limited to ARCGIS Servers, Citrix Servers, Web Servers, database servers, and XenDesktop workstations
Monitor, track and resolve issues related to software including but not limited to VMware vSphere 4.0, MS Windows Server 2003/2008
Assist with configuring, patching, and upgrading VMware vSphere Servers, VMware vCenter- Central Management application, Citrix Xendesktop, and VMware View systems
Assist with configuring networking equipment
Provide input into the Continuation of Operations Plan (COOP) and work with system administrators to develop and maintain the COOP infrastructure and documentation
In the area of database management and user support the contractor will be able to:
Monitor, track, and resolve issues with mission critical database services for CADD and GIS users to include support to configure, maintain, upgrade, and patch SharePoint services, SQL servers, IIS web servers, tape and block level backups, GIS SDE databases, Arc Server and ESRI IMS map services
Monitor and track user access to database services and assist with installation of new database applications
Assist with the setup and configuration of new MS SQL database servers as required and provide technical specifications and requirements for database developers to create custom applications to run on DPW-E database servers
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, Information Assurance Level II certified (GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, or CompTIA Security +) Certification can be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Experience
Five years experience, with two of those years of a comparable complexity.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
