Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Computer imaging and configuration of workstations, laptops and mobile devices in accordance with establishes requirements.
Conducts specific modification of systems software and configuration settings, ensure consistent set-up and maintenance of hardware issued.
Documents check list and procedures required for configuration and preparing systems for distribution to IBWC users that may require special software, accessibility requirements and security controls implemented prior to being issued.
Maintains required documentation for in-house configuration management and property management.
Troubleshoots, resolves basic operating system hardware problems, software problems.
Loads and unloads software, ensures software operates properly and is compatible with the existing equipment.
Monitors system usage, performs software support, system backups and system restore points to ensure recovery of data in the event of system failure.
Refers system-related problems which cannot be resolved to Tiers II IT Specialist for assistance.
Routine system maintenance Adds or deletes users to a shared resource.
Assists users with word processing, spreadsheets and database questions and problems.
Performs cable management, documentation and updates in web site (Vibe).
Establishes dual authentication, encryption and VPN connectivity on remote capable components issued by IBWC personnel.
Computer manuals, system output reports, and agency directives and policies.
