Job Summary
The Supervisor ensures the technical staff is fully equipped with the knowledge, instruments, training, and supplies needed for reporting accurate and timely laboratory results. Aids in problem resolution, coaches, uses quality improvement methods, and progressive discipline to eliminate or minimize practices that adversely affect accurate results reporting.

Skills
1.Strong computer skills including programming, mapping, and knowledge of instrumentation, L.I.S. and H.I.S. interfaces.
2.Mechanical skills used to repair down instrumentation and ability to utilize available resources to minimize instrument downtime.
3.Strong problem solving skills including ability to focus on a problem, use sound judgment based on technical know-how, departmental policies, procedures and arrive at a timely solution.
4.Strong verbal and writing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with EMR, Physicians, Nurses, Health Unit Coordinators, H.R., M.I.S., Engineering, Guest Services, Texas Tech, vendors and off campus clients.
5.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical health workers.
6.Strong Customer Service skills with an emphasis on telephone communication.
7.Ability to handle continual change and stressful situations.
8.Ability to organize and store voluminous amounts of information and retrieve rarely used information upon demand.
9.Ability to multitask.
10.Comfortable with conflict resolution and negotiation.

Work Experience
Three years professional experience as a Medical Lab Technician or Medical Technologist required.
Two year supervisory experience required.

License/Registration/Certification
ASCP certified preferred.

Education and Training
Associate's degree (A.S.) in Medical Lab Technology required, Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Medical Technology preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
