Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, manages the clinical laboratory, assuring reliable, high-quality diagnostic test results, expeditiously delivered to care givers. Assists the Director in planning and evaluating the operational functions of laboratory services. Acts as a liaison between department teams, hospital departments and with medical staff.

Required Skills:


  1. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical laboratory science, laboratory operations and medical terminology.

  2. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.

  3. Strong computer skills.

  4. Technical writing skills

  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all associates/customers.

  6. Ability to mentor department supervisors in application of hospital/department policies.

  7. Ability to organize tasks and work independently.

  8. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.

  9. Ability to collaborate with others to attain goals.

  10. Sound judgment in problem solving. Ability to identify and engage proper resources to resolve problems.

  11. Proven ability in meeting and maintaining budget goals.

  12. Comfortable with conflict resolution and negotiation.

  13. Capable of handling change and stressful situations.

Three years of work experience in a clinical laboratory.

Three years management experience required.

License/Registration/Certification:

Registered/Certified Medical Technologist required.

Education and Training:

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or related field required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
