Summary
In the absence of the Director, the Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall operation of the Respiratory Care Department. This position is responsible for the Supervisors, and Staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Required:
Must be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Respiratory Therapy Program with an Associate Degree.
Preferred:
Baccalaureate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare related field; Five years experience in different aspects of Respiratory Care.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Must have current license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas, and maintain credentialing of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Must have a current BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NRP.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Must speak and write English fluently.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Respiratory Care Supervisor or one year experience as manager.
