Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and providing excellent patient care.
Your knowledge of dental procedures, medical records, and infection control will contribute to the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support to ensure patient comfort - Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse - Update and maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes - Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient inquiries - Utilize Dentrix software to input and retrieve patient information efficiently - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and dental anatomy to effectively communicate with the dentist and other team members - Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff Skills:
- Proficiency in dental assisting systems and procedures - Strong organizational skills to manage medical records accurately - Knowledge of taking vital signs and recording them correctly - Experience in assisting dentists during various dental procedures - Familiarity with Dentrix software for efficient patient management - Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality - Excellent knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry - Ability to perform dental receptionist duties when needed - Solid understanding of dental anatomy for effective communication with the dentist - Commitment to strict infection control practices If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this Dental Assistant position.
