GENERAL DESCRIPTION Performs entry level clerical work, runs errands, covers for receptionist or other staff as assigned by Admin Supervisor.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cover lunch for receptionist; cover for absent staff Check documents for accuracy Organize documents for filing Make copies, collate or distribute as needed Gather information from staff members such as attendance records Distribute checks Deliver or pick up documents or other materials, gather signatures for checks or documents needing authorization.
Conduct other transactions such as bank deposits, mailing or shipping, or making unusual payments.
Other work as assigned SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to complete tasks as assigned, attend to detail, follow instructions, insure accuracy.
Basic clerical skills such as filing, managing copy machine, answering machine, recognizing numbers and amounts, alphabetizing materials, maintaining clear memos, and storing and following basic instruction guides.
Vehicle with driver's license and insurance.
Ability to drive to specific places as needed.
Ability to enter office buildings or homes, climb stairs, stand in line, carry bundles of materials as needed.
Verbal and written bilingual communication (English and Spanish) Basic social skills for pleasant telephone presence, interaction with other staff, board members or business agents, clients.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
