WSP is currently initiating a search for a Safety Technical Specialist, Transportation to join our national team.
This position is able to sit anywhere in the United States.
The ideal candidate will be a certified Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP) and have a minimum of 3 years' professional experience within the transportation and/or transit industry, specifically with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), or Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) experience.
Your Impact Support management of Safety Team projects.
Support safety and security team staff on projects, as needed.
Support development and coordinate project proposals responses for potential clients.
Provide client interface, coordination and project updates.
Support Safety and Security Risk assessments for projects or programs including safety certification.
Support WSP projects that require safety and security expertise.

Who You AreRequired Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in transportation related projects, public rail, transportation security and /or emergency management projects preferred.
Bachelor's Degree or Masters' Degree in transportation safety, engineering, planning or another related field.
Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP) Certification Preferred.
Experience with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), or Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements or guidance required.
Demonstrated writing and editing skills.
Preferred Qualifications Experience or training in safety and security risk assessment and analysis.
Excellent communications skills, written and oral.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.

CompensationExpected Salary:
$61,000 - $128,900WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
Expected Salary (Colorado only):
$68,700 - $109,900WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
