Summary:
The warehouse Shipping Supervisor will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Shipping Supervisor supports department activities by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures within his/her department.
The Shipping Supervisor conducts employee training and onboarding activities.
This aspect of the job can include explaining and demonstrating internal processes, completing new employee paperwork, and monitoring employee performance during the training and orientation process to help support proper procedures and established expectations.
Success Factors/key Metrics:
Support the EPDC Manager to execute business plan that achieves Company objectives.
Provide outstanding customer service in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and responsiveness.
Manage inventory effectively.
Ensure a safe and productive work environment, achieving or exceeding desired targets on safety and operational audits.
Assure daily customers and internal MWSI shipments on time and without error.
Key partners (Positions):
Receiving Lead and Customer Service Representatives.
Direct Reports:
Shipping material handlers and Shipping clerks.
Partner with all Materials and Operations positions across the Company, including but not limited to Materials Manager, Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, IT and Safety Duties and
Responsibilities:
The Shipping Supervisor oversees and supervises warehouse employees and drivers to make sure all items are picked, prepared, shipped, and received on time and efficiently while complying with company policy.
Following defined Control Plan and PFMEA.
He/she acts as a liaison between workers and management and report on shipping activities and issues.
Collaborates and communicates with logistics team, customer service representative, and other involved in the shipment.
Balance receiving team workload according with daily customer's requirements.
Ensuring and promoting compliance to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures.
Shipping Supervisor is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory.
He/she will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers.
Keep updated the different plants Headers link and escalate any issue to proper department, ensure all shipping documents are created and maintained accurately.
Shipping Supervisor supports the warehouse-wide activities by maintaining accurate and updated records.
These records can include shipping manifest, reports on day-to-day warehouse activities.
Shipping Supervisor may provide these reports to management or other warehouse personnel to aid in decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinates meeting to review and solve shipping issues as required.
Shipping Supervisor maintains a clean and safe working environment this can include establishing safety protocols as well as conducting periodic inspection of facilities and machinery to prevent accidents and other hazardous situations.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the shipping area.
Update office supplies inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
Process requisitions and update management on status order.
Assess quality of stock received and escalated any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Provide additional backup support for receiving department and allocate resources as needed.
Report employees attendance on daily basis, complete time sheets showing employees arrival and departure times, provide time card to temporary agency and company HR Department.

Experience with JDE system.

Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects tools or controls , reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stood, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear, taste and/or smell, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
