Summary:
Oversee the maintenance mechanics and technicians, maintains production equipment, tool and fixtures thru maintenance crew or service contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment in order to minimize downtime and spending personally or though team members.
Organize and orders spare parts inventory, schedules preventative maintenance and provides corrective measures to keep all machines in service.
Participate in production meetings.
Help with moving projects when needed.
Communicate information or changes within the organization to employees.
Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
Issue written and oral instructions.
Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures and to the satisfaction of the internal customer (production).
Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances and disputes.
Supervise and monitor staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for training, motivating, counseling, conducting performance evaluations, developing goals and developing procedures to ensure achievement of goals in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Continually provide feedback for both positive and negative performance.
Follow the progressive discipline process when necessary to correct unsatisfactory performance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Insure that self and workers understand and follow best practices and safety procedures.
QualificationsMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education:
Some college, technical school, or equivalent experience required, preferably in corrugated or packaging industry.
Experience:
Ten years in industrial maintenance or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Corrugated or sheet plant experience desirable.
Specific Skills:
English proficiency required/ Spanish proficiency preferred.
Effective oral and written skills.
Welding skills preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Bilingual with leadership and computer skills.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, withstand physical exertion and variable temperatures.
The position requires standing regularly, using fingers to feel and handle, use arms to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, plus abilities needed for close vision, distant vision and depth perception.
