We are currently seeking a Chains Sales & Promotions Analyst to join our growing team in the El Paso, TX area.
Summary Support Sales Manager activities relative to the budgeting, planning, tracking and analysis of trade promotion events as well as exercises independent judgment in performing complex analysis and project management.
Prepares written and verbal technical reports to upper management, in particular, provides strategic planning and critical path analysis of utilities activities in response to market forces.
Assignments typically involve quantitative analysis, data management and analysis, design and evaluation of market programs, and assessment of the utilities customer base and of the competitive forces in the market place by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Assist Sales Managers from the Chains division entering their promotional plans into the AFS system.
? Monitor, report, and analyze trade promotion budget and performance.
? Review monthly forecast for with Sales Managers and identify differences with TradePro to ensure consistency in the numbers.
? Post-promotional analysis.
? Provide detailed information on the roll-up of all account activity to assist in the demand planning process.
? Proactively identify potential problem areas with regard to trade promotion spending and work with the Sales Managers to make proper adjustments.
? Create strategic presentations for customer reviews to maximize the impact in increasing sales and distribution.
? Gathers, analyzes, and compares competitor data and pricing.
? Maintains market intelligence database and uses computer to examine, analyze, and compile statistical data.
? Prepares reports such as distribution, pricing, sales results by market using the different platforms we have available such as Cognos, VIP, IRI, etc.
? Sales Information - It may include standardize to proper format the information received from customers and imports / exports data to upload into Cognos.
? Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications The candidate needs to be self-motivated, organized, and highly productive, with the ability to work well on a diverse and highly qualified team in a fast-paced work environment.
Be effective in working as a member of a team within Novamex.
Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practice and procedures.
