The Role:
Exos is hiring Strength and Conditioning Coaches (SCC) across the United States at various Army Posts as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program.
This is the Army's investment in soldier readiness, injury reduction and increased overall effectiveness of each soldier and the Army as a whole.
H2F Coaching is a great opportunity to work in a tactical setting and gain valuable, resume building experience.
You will work in a military training setting assigned to a specific Brigade (similar to being assigned a Sports Team in a college setting) and perform services aligned with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) You are responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive education and services program as well as observing your assigned Brigade during specific training events (ie.
obstacle courses, combative, training areas) Most work will be performed in a Military training environment (i.
e.
fitness centers/gyms, teaching classrooms, outdoors, ranges, field training environments, and at the SPRC) Support quality assurance efforts, ensuring all work performance aligns with H2F objectives SCCs may be embedded within H2F Performance Teams across BDEs at various Government installations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; degree in related field preferred Current certification by the NSCA as a CSCS or by the CSCCA as a SCCC Have 3 years of relevant work experience within the last 5 years.
Relevant experience is defined as developing and executing task and environment specific functional injury control and health/well-being programs for groups of athletes or DoD/Department of Homeland Security/Department of Justice entities focused on a common sport or mission performance goal.
Employment related to internships or graduate work up to one year will be considered relevant experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certification.
Web-based classes do not meet required standards.

citizen Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English effectively Ability to pass and maintain Tier 1 clearance Physically able to lift and manipulate loads and weight plates up to 45 pounds Strong understanding of Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel Ability to navigate and operate with unit SharePoint sites Candidates must demonstrate sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that they can relate to a variety of Soldiers from diverse backgrounds This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by this position.
