Ultrasound Tech/ Sonographer
El Paso, TX El Paso, TX Part-time Part-time $26 - $30 an hour $26 - $30 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Professional Radiology is seeking for an experienced ultrasound tech to work initially part time/ PRN in our radiology center.
Core/Major Duties:
Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist, performs the full range of diagnostic Ultrasound procedures as per the established Radiologist protocols.
Assist physicians with invasive US biopsy procedures.
Performs and evaluates ultrasound images exams providing accurate documentation and images of procedure(s) results.
Communicate pertinent information on the Radiologist regarding the procedure and findings.
Demonstrates competence in utilizing all imaging support equipment to include transducers, multi-format cameras, printers, RIS and PACS system.
Be able to handle a high volume of patients Understands and manages state of the art equipment and new technologies like Elastography and Fibroscan Maintain inventory of all required procedure supplies.
Maintains exams rooms, patient's waiting rooms and work areas in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
Comprehensively explains the ultrasound process and procedure to the patient and answers any questions the patients has regarding the procedure to alleviate any patient anxiety, providing excellent customer service.
Accurately operates all functions of the RIS system to include entering and charging of all procedures.
Displays superior interpersonal skills with patients and peers.
Maintains proper working condition of all equipment; promptly reports any equipment variances or malfunction to the Manager.
Maintains competencies in all Ultrasound procedures.
Assist in all areas and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitor's and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous clinic environment.
Be prepared to be challenged and learn! Education/
Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasound technology required.
At least 1 year of experience working as an ultrasound technologist Proven leadership skills preferable Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Job Type:
