00 an hour Job description Positions for 5 Unarmed Security Guards Duties and job functions may include lobby desk, foot patrol, control center, access control, emergency response, and risk management The ideal candidates' traits:

Responsibilities:
Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
The security guard shall make rounds of the exterior building premises every two hours.
When not conducting rounds of the premises, the security guard shall remain in the admissions department.
Check all interior areas of contracted space before going off duty to ascertain if any security risks or situations are detected.
Must then check all exterior doors to confirm the building is locked and secure.
If a serious incident occurs, the security guard shall notify the client representative.
In the event of a nonemergent security incident, the security guard shall complete and submit a Security Incident Report at the end of his/her shift.
Shall promptly notify the client or designee of any issues that may need repairs when making rounds, such as plumbing, heating, air conditioning, cleaning and damage to fixtures or buildings.
All items of critical, priority or emergency nature shall be reported to the client's Support Services Director or designee as soon as discovered.
Shall maintain a daily activity report to log all security checks, problems, and other activity deemed significant.
Report any unusual incidents, hazardous conditions, or emergencies to the appropriate authority, i.
e.
, city police dept.
, city fire dept.
, and client's Support Services Director or designee.
Check identification of all persons entering the building during and after normal business hours and on weekends.
Any person without an employee identification badge must sign in and out and will be issued a visitor identification.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as security officer or guard Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety Familiarity with report writing Excellent surveillance and observation skills Must have a current Texas DPS security license Must have a valid Driver's license Job Types:
